Aprilia Tuono 457 Launched in India at ₹3.95 Lakh. Bookings Open Now!

Aprilia has expanded its lineup in India with the launch of the Tuono 457, a brand-new naked streetfighter based on the popular RS 457 Supersport. Priced at ₹3.95 lakh (ex-showroom), this exciting new motorcycle was unveiled with Bollywood star and Aprilia brand ambassador John Abraham gracing the stage.

A Naked Streetfighter on the 457cc Platform

The Tuono 457 is built on Aprilia’s highly acclaimed 457cc parallel-twin platform and is the first naked motorcycle in this segment from the brand. It is available in two striking color options, Piranha Red and Puma Grey. Aprilia has opened bookings for a nominal fee of ₹10,000, with test rides and deliveries set to begin in the first week of March 2025.

Design and Features

The Tuono 457 sports a brand-new streetfighter look, completely different from its bigger siblings, the Tuono 660 and Tuono V4. Its aggressive LED headlight design, flanked by sharp LED DRLs, gives it a muscular stance. Unlike the semi-faired RS 457, the Tuono features large tank shrouds that add to its bold appeal.

The wide, upright handlebar ensures a comfortable and commanding riding position, making it ideal for city streets and highway rides. Black-finished USD front forks with preload adjustability, a rear monoshock, and 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 110-section front and 150-section rear tyres add to the bike’s sporty dynamics. Braking duties are handled by single disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety.

Performance and Technology

At the heart of the Tuono 457 is the same 457cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine from the RS 457. It delivers 46.9 bhp and 43.5 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox, slipper clutch, and an optional bi-directional quick shifter. Weighing just 175 kg, the Tuono 457 sets new benchmarks in its segment for power-to-weight ratio.

Packed with modern tech, the Tuono 457 comes with Traction Control, Ride Modes, and a full-color TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation, making it a feature-rich offering in the segment.

Competition and Rivals

The Aprilia Tuono 457 goes up against strong competitors like the Yamaha MT-03, which recently received a price cut, and the KTM 390 Duke, which also saw a price reduction. With its premium Italian styling, powerful engine, and cutting-edge features, the Tuono 457 is set to shake up the segment. The next motorcycle based on this platform will be the Tuareg 457, an ADV tourer that has been spotted testing and is expected to debut at the EICMA Show 2025.

Excited about the Aprilia Tuono 457? Bookings are open, and deliveries start soon! Stay tuned for more updates.
