Indian manufacturers do the majority of their launches during the festive season, but this year the manufacturers have come up with their main launches from the very start of 2023, as Hyundai launched the Ioniq 5 at the 2023 Auto Expo in January, Maruti Suzuki launched Jimny 5-door this month, Mercedes-Benz India, launched not 1 but 3 AMG performance cars this year, and so on. And the upcoming month of July is also filled with exciting car launches, from which here are the 4 major ones you have to look out for.
Kia Seltos Facelift
At the start of the Month, Kia India will do the official India debut of the Seltos with a mid-life on the 4th of July 2023, which will be offered with a revised exterior look, with revised front and rear bumper, a new set of alloys and will also feature a panoramic sunroof, the Seltos facelift will also feature ADAS, which will make it the 3rd mid-size SUV with ADAS after the Astor and the upcoming Honda Elevate. The powertrain options for the Seltos facelift will be a 1.5L NA petrol, a 1.5L turbo diesel, and the 1.4L turbo petrol will be replaced by a 1.5L turbo petrol with more power and torque.
Maruti Suzuki Invicto
Well, when Maruti Suzuki launched the Kizashi for the Indian market, rather than being appreciated by the Indian customers, it turned out to be the most disastrous decision of Maruti Suzuki ever, and even after that, Maruti Suzuki is still going to step their foot into the premium segment again, but this time with not a sedan or an SUV, but with an MPV, which they named it the Invicto, which is nothing but a rebadged version of the Toyota Innova Hycross, means it will be offered with the same 2.0L naturally aspirated petrol engine, which will put out 173hp and 205Nm of torque and with the 5th gen Toyota hybrid tech, it will put out 181hp and 188Nm of torque along with 206Nm electric motor.
Hyundai Exter
To compete with the Tata Punch, Hyundai has gone for a punchy move and announced their first-ever micro-SUV, the Exter, which will be based on Hyundai’s K1 series platform, will sit between the Grand i10 and the Venue, and currently, Hyundai has disclosed only one engine for the Exter, the 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine, will be borrowed from the Grand i10 and the Aura, will put out 82hp @6000 rpm and 113Nm of peak torque @4000rpm, will be paired with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission and Hyundai India is all set to launch the Exter on this 10th of July.
Citroen C3 Aircross
Well, Citroen is one such car brand which is struggling to sell its cars to Indian buyers because its India line-up only includes the entry-level C3 hatchback, priced at ₹6.16 Lakh and the C5 Aircross, which targets the premium SUV buyers, priced at ₹37 Lakh, and that creates a huge price gap between the 2, but to fill this price gap, Citroen is coming up with the India-built C3 Aircross SUV, which they have showcased in India, a month ago, to enter into the mid-size SUV segment and to rival the VAG and Korean cousins, now Citroen is planning to launch it somewhere around the end of July 2023. The Citroen will offer the C3 Aircross in a 5 or 7-seat configuration, which will be powered with a 1.2L turbo petrol, borrowed from the C3 hatchback with 109hp and 190Nm of torque.
