Paganis have always been the machines that represented the automotive industry's creative and design front. The designs have Paganis have always been jaw-dropping and I guarantee you, you will see nothing as beautiful as a Pagani on the road.
Pagani's attention to detail for each and every component of the car has been astonishing. Every single titanium bolt used on the Huayra has the Pagani logo etched on it using lasers. The pattern of the carbon fibre weave always matches with the other panel. Pagani's craftsmanship has always given them a very unique appeal. It is safe to say, that Pagani has no direct competition. The closest thing to compete with them will be Koenigsegg but they come nowhere near as exquisite and beautifully made as a Pagani.
The Huayra was Pagani's second model after the Zonda. A very astonishing fact, Pagani has been running for almost 20 years now and technically they have only ever made 2 types of models: the Zonda and the Huayra. Anyways, the Huayra was a massive technological leap over the Zonda with a new twin turbo engine, active aero and a host of new safety features. But it still kept the Zonda's legacy intact with its beautiful and timeless shape and interior.
But one thing that the Huayra was never was and never will be is a good driver's car. Don't get me wrong, the car gives you a driving experience out of this world and so unique that it cannot be compared. But it never went around corner the way most other high end hypercars go like for example the LaFerrari or 918.
We all thought that the BC would be the most extreme Huayra ever to be made and yes it did completely alter the Huayra's driving dynamics and made it into a full blown track weapon. But Pagani just came out with the craziest Huayra of them all.
The Huayra Imola is just a overload of specs. 5 million Euros +VAT, a massive twin turbo AMG v12 producing 827 bhp and 1100 Nm of Torque mated to a 7-Speed sequential gearbox. And if you haven't noticed a rear wing that bridge the gap between Italy and Albania (looks at G Maps to understand the joke).
Let us not ponder upon the the aero of the Huayra Imola as you can see it is a lot but let me just share my personal thoughts on it. It looks like as if the Mona Lisa gone on Miley Cyrus rage trip. Completely bonkers and full of drugs but I love it. This is the kind of stuff I would draw if I was 11 years old. A car with handful of guns and missile launchers and gigantic air scoop to cool the Twin Turbo V12.
The Huayra Imola was basically designed with Pagani's top customers and is also a rolling test bed for the future of Pagani. The Imola will host tech from Pagani which is still in its prototype stage.
At the end the Huayra Imola is just a massive laugh for us normal folks because of its insane looks and stupid amounts of power. But it still brings out our inner child and keeps us motivated to work hard and buy something stupid like it.
